Description - A very beautiful antique solid opal pendant & chain crafted in 15ct yellow gold, we believe the chain is original to the pendant with the original barrel style clasp.

The 15ct gold pendant has a diameter of approx 15mm & six-claw bezels and a concealed hanger / bale loop.

The pendant is set with six 6mm x 4mm x 2mm deep approx .30 carat each oval cabochon cut solid opals.

These gorgeous opals have a crystal base with medium to high intensity blue, green, yellow & orange colours in a blocky to chaffy patterns. A wonderful kaleidoscope of colours.

The opals form the petals of the flower with a solid yellow gold centre, a very pretty pendant.

The pendant is on a 15ct yellow gold fine belcher link chain which is 50cm in length & has a secure barrel clasp. 

The chain has a small tag near the clasp that has an early 15ct impressed hallmark.

Both the pendant & chain are in wonderful condition.

15ct gold was fazed out in all Commonwealth countries in the early 1930's no longer used in jewellery manufacture.
