Description - A very beautiful handcrafted antique natural ruby & old European cut diamond daisy  ring.

We believe this ring to be Circa 1910 - 1920 This style of ring has always been incredibly popular right down through the ages.

This stunning ring is handmade in 18ct yellow gold, with the head of the ring having an 18ct white gold top plate. The ring is hallmarked for 18ct & also carries the maker's mark for Solomon Blanckensee & sons Ltd who were registered in Birmingham from the early 1800's.

The head of the ring has gallery sides and the top plate is 18ct white gold. The centre is rub-over set yellow gold, with a 1.10 carat oval FINE BRIGHT Purplish Red Natural Ruby, measuring 6.4mm x 4.7mm x 3.8mm deep.

This is an exquisite very fine quality natural ruby.

Framing the ruby is a halo of Old European Cut Diamonds, rub-over set in white gold, with fine milligrain detail to  the gracefully scalloped edges. A total of nine diamonds, total weight - 0.68 carat.

The old European Cut diamonds are all G/H in Colour with SI clarity, Brilliant white with exceptional fire, superb old handout diamonds.

The prices of fine quality natural rubies has increased significantly over the past few years, quality includes very good clarity ( not milky) good clean clarity & colour .

This antique handcrafted ring is stunning on the hand, it could easily be teamed with a wedding band or worn solo, a truly feminine piece, that exudes old world charm & romance.
