Description - A very beautiful antique garnet pendant, Circa 1900 -  we believe this was originally a pin / brooch which has had a 9ct light rose gold support plate & claws & bale added & the pin removed, to be repurposed and worn as a pendant.

The pendant also comes with a lovely 48cm 9ct yellow gold belcher link chain, it is a later addition made in Italy.

The antique pendant in pear / nearly heart shaped measuring 25mm x 18mm.

The centre is claw set with a 13.8mm x 8.7mm approx 4.6 carats cabochon pear cut almandine garnet.

The cabochon cut garnet has a natural surface  inclusion, which partially follows the contour of the gemstone, viewed with magnification, it doesn't take away from the beauty of the pendant.

Around the centre garnet are two claw set tiers with a total of thirty five 2.8mm round rose cut almandine garnets.

The rose cut garnets have an incredible inner glow as the light catches them, they are absolutely stunning.

The chain is 9ct yellow gold, oval belcher link necklace chain, 48cm in length & weighs 3.5 grams.

The antique pendant is really beautiful, garnets & gold are always a wonderful combination.
