Description - This is a wonderful example of Art Deco Egyptian Revival Jewellery crafted in 800 silver with the quality mark used in Germany.

The 1922 discovery of Tutankhamun's Tomb by Howard Carter, received world wide press coverage & sparked an absolute craze for ornamentation inspired by Ancient Egypt.

This fashion ran well into the 1930's, & quite often over the years ever since has been revived.

This beautiful bracelet consists of a series of decorative panels featuring two important Egyptian Symbols, The Ankh and the Lotus Flower.

The Ankh or " Key Of Life " is an ancient hieroglyphic Symbol used to represent the word for Life & the Hereafter.

The Lotus Flower Symbolises creation & rebirth.

The motifs are pierced and exquisitely enamelled in the cloisonnè style.

The colours are vibrant orange, turquoise, dark blue & white, they are outlined in a gold overlay.

The panels are held together by chains at the top & bottom & closes with a hook fastening which holds very well.

The gold washed back of the bracelet is inscribed with 800 representing silver.

The enamelling is in intact , & so beautifully executed. Pieces like this rarely present to the market, a wonderful Art Deco bracelet, to be worn & treasured.
