Description - Where do I begin, This is an outstanding Pendant Hand crafted during the 1920' 30's, by a highly skilled craftsman. A substantial piece, weighing 16.83 grams & encrusted with 8.00 carats of gorgeous early cut diamonds.
This pendant as we see it today, started life as a pair of dress / fur clips, that were a highly fashionable accessory post WW1, when women's frocks began to call for more ornamentation, a fashion accessory everyone wanted to own.
As fashions change the dress / fur clips were soldered together & a 18ct yellow gold support frame was added to the verso to form the pendant we see today.
Completely handmade the top plate and all the settings are in solid platinum, the verso has an 18ct yellow gold support frame and it measures 56mm x 29mm
There are two rub-over bezels, set with two 4.5mm x 2.8mm deep approx .38 carat Old European cut H/I SI natural diamonds.
The remaining top surface is pavé set with one hundred and fifty four .02 to .07 carat single cut H/I SI natural diamonds and two .15 carat single cut H/I SI natural diamonds
Half circling the primary two diamonds are twelve 1.8mm round FINE Red Natural Rubies which form the centre of the beautifully designed diamond encrusted flowers & foliage of the pendant.
The pendant - enhancer is able to be worn vertically or horizontally , the purchase is for the pendant only.
Completely hand crafted by a highly skilled / talented early goldsmith, this piece is an exquisite work of art, each diamond & ruby individually hand set, there has been many, many hours of labour gone into creating this superb piece.
