Description - A very beautiful pair of Akoya Cultured Pearl Drop Earrings, that have been handmade by repurposing 15ct Solid Gold hand engraved double tongue buckles.

To the rear of the earrings are the early hallmarks of Willis & Sons two brothers who originally established their jewellery business in 1858 in Melbourne. The buckles have the Unicorn which came from their family crest , 15 for the gold purity & W this hallmark dates to 1890-1900.

Handcrafted in solid 15ct yellow gold, the earrings have hook fittings & are beautifully hand engraved.

Suspended from each 15ct gold drop is a lovely Akoya cultured pearl measuring 5.8mm

The drops measure 40mm x 24mm at widest point.

They are really beautiful earrings, & lovely to see these early Wills & Sons pieces being repurposed not scraped as often happens.

They look elegant & feminine on the lobe & certainly could be worn with your day or evening wear.
