Description - A Superb example of the highly skilled craftsmanship from the Edwardian period, is on display with this exquisite pair of cut crystal, silver collared scent bottles.
The silver collars have clear maker's mark for " Charles May " his mark was registered in Birmingham in 1876.
These collars were assayed in Birmingham 1908.
During the Victorian , Edwardian period these scent bottles were generally filled with scented oils, like lavender,, rose oil & various others &sat on the ladies Dresser beautifully displayed alongside her brush, comb beauty mirror & various other implements that were used in the ladies beauty routine of the day.
These quality cut crystal scents bottles were usually found in a lady of "means'"bedroom - ladies dressing room.
The crystal scent bottle with their stoppers stand 12cm or 120mm in height & are 19.5cm at the base.
The cut crystal pattern is absolutely divine, defined ridged indentations , beautifully raised designs,& the stoppers are exquisite. Please view photos for a visual description.

The scent bottles are in fabulous condition, there are some minor tiny flea bites on the raised edges of the stoppers but overall they both are in wonderful condition & present beautifully.
Under UV light these gorgeous cut crystal bottles show a beautiful purple tint,, this is due to the lead content in crystal.
These gorgeous scent bottles would add a touch of opulent grandeur to any Ladies Dressing Room.
