Description - A beautiful ring Circa 1940's that has had the centre stone replaced at some point with a 2.41 carat gorgeous Fire Opal, framed by sparkling diamonds & deep red natural rubies.

The rings shank / band is crafted in 10ct yellow gold, which has a slight rose hue, the top plate which is all hand crafted, is in sterling silver with 14ct yellow gold, individual four-claw coronets & the opal is set in 14ct yellow gold.

The centre head is set with an oval cabochon cut, fire opal measuring 10.71mm x 8.66mm x 4.60mm deep, 2.41 carat approx.

Surrounding the opal are six 2.30mm round brilliant cut natural diamonds colour H/J, Clarity I1. 

There are three at the top of the opal & three at the bottom, at each side of the centre gemstone are two mixed cut, natural rubies, very deep red in colour which are eye clean - lightly included.

The head of the ring is 17.98mm x 15.38mm approx providing wonderful finger coverage, the band / shank width is 2.89mm by 0.79mm deep at the base. There is evidence of an old resize on the band.

A very striking ring on the hand, lovely colourful fire opal complimented beautifully by the sparkling diamonds.
